Purchase of Non-Standard Technology

Service Description:
Purchases of technology for campus use must be coordinated through the Office of Technology Services (OTS). As a general rule, the San Antonio College Office of Technology Services follows the Alamo Colleges District standards when purchasing new IT equipment & software.

However, if a need falls outside the parameters of the District’s hardware or software standards, OTS provides assistance in procuring an appropriate solution.  OTS staff helps assess software and/or hardware needs, find solutions, and work from procurement to deployment. All requests for non-standard technology will need to be approved before a quote is given to the requestor. The request is evaluated to determine whether the standard equipment will meet the needs of the user or a nonstandard equipment will be required.

Availability:
Monday-Thursday, 8:00 a.m.- 7:00p.m Friday, 8:00 a.m. -5:00p.m. excluding college holidays and closures.

How to access services (Procedures if Any):
Services can be requested through the online ticketing service FootPrints website at http://footprints.alamo.edu.  You will need to select "Hardware” from "Category," "Select Other" in "Sub-Category", and "Quote Request" from the "Action" Field.
