Network Shared Storage

Service Description:

Network shared storage is available to San Antonio College faculty, staff and computer labs. Shared storage is secure and only accessible to designated network accounts provided by shared storage owner(s). Network shared drives are backed up daily by a central backup system. These storage shares allow for a centrally located file repository, as well as allows access to multiple authorized users.

Department storage limits will depend on the number of users within a department. Departments generally get 15 GB to begin with, however storage size can be increased as needed. Each network user account is assigned a personal 5GB file storage which can also be increased if need be.

24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

How to access services (Procedures if Any):

Services can be requested through the online service ticket website at http://footprints.alamo.edu. When submitting a Footprints ticket, you will need to select the "Ticket Information Tab" > "Service" > "Network Services" > "Component" > "Shared Network Drive" > "Detail" > "Add Access."
