Network Data Wall Port Request

Service Description:

Wired Network Services are delivered via an extensive physical network infrastructure deployed throughout the College campus.  Typically, departments access this service by plugging their network devices into an activated data wall port within their building.  Most buildings and offices are already wired for data wall ports.  However, if an additional data wall port is required, the Office of Technology Services Network Team can assist with planning and deployment.

Eligibility: Staff, Faculty

Availability:
Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., excluding college holidays and closures.

How to access services (Procedures if Any):
To request a new data wall port or to activate an existing data wall port, services can be requested through the online service ticket website at http://footprints.alamo.edu or by contacting the college HelpDesk at 210-486-0777. When submitting a ticket, please select "Infrastructure" from the Category field, "Cabling" from the Sub-Category field, "Request" from the Action field, and "Service Request" from the Ticket Type fiield.
