Equipment Loans

Service Description: The Office of Technology Services (OTS) offers short term equipment loans to actively enrolled San Antonio College students and actively employed faculty and staff members. Prior to checking out equipment, students, faculty, and staff must meet eligibility requirements set forth by the OTS at San Antonio College. Short term equipment loans are done on a first-come, first-serve basis. OTS requires that the loaner equipment be used for Alamo Colleges related projects or events only. The use of Alamo Colleges property for personal use is prohibited.

How to access services (Procedures if Any):
SAC Students can request loaned equipment by visiting the OTS Service Center- https://sacweb03.sac.alamo.edu/eELR/EquipmentRequest  .  Users upon completion of form will receive an email to visit campus and pick up equipment.  Two (2) valid forms of picture ID. Students are required to bring their SAC ID as one form of identification.

Additional Information:
OTS requires two (2) forms of valid photo identification from students, one of which is required to be a current SAC Student ID. Other acceptable forms of identification include, but are not limited to, valid Driver’s License, State ID/Military ID, etc. Employees are required to provide their employee ID for identification.

All technology equipment loans are on a first-come, first-serve basis. If no equipment is available at the time of inquiry, students are able to sign a waiting list and will be notified when equipment has become available.

Due to the Pandemic, Technology equipment loan period is a maximum of one semester, unless students have registered for classes in the upcoming semester.  Return dates are available at:  https://sacweb03.sac.alamo.edu/eELR/ReturnEquipment

NOTE: Borrower assumes full responsibility for all equipment (including software) in their possession. Equipment should not be left unattended. In the event of theft, loss or damage to Alamo Colleges property, the borrower is liable for all replacement costs. Any equipment outstanding 10 days past the due date will be considered stolen and the borrower will be held financially responsible. Equipment use is governed by Appropriate Use of Information Technology Resources (Policy).
