Education and Technology Training

Service Description:
The Office of Technology Services Instructional Technology Team offers a variety of education and technology training sessions and workshops for students, staff, and faculty at San Antonio College. Our knowledgeable staff can assist with tools, tips and resources to help with key software applications as well as assist students and employees with troubleshooting technology based issues.

Training Sessions and workshops will vary. Please refer to schedules for specific times and dates.

How to access services (Procedures if Any):

Students:
Students can access the “Training Calendar” to view and register for upcoming technology workshops offered at the Student Mega Lab located on the 5th floor of the Moody Learning Center (MLC). When viewing the calendar, locate the session desired and register by clicking on the title of the workshop and fill out the form. Students can also request a class if they do not see a workshop for a specific topic they are looking for.

Classroom Integrated Technology Trainings:

Faculty can register and bring their class into our Student Mega Lab training room for a Computer Instructional Technology Workshop to support their classroom assignments and projects. To schedule a workshop for a class, email sac-megalab@alamo.edu or submit a  Workshop Request Form. One of our Mega Lab Staff will contact you via phone or email to confirm the schedule and to answer any questions you may have.

Employees:
The Instructional Innovation Center (IIC) offers technology-training sessions to all employees. Employees can access AlamoTalent to view and register for upcoming trainings offered by the IIC staff. Most workshops are scheduled at the Moody Learning Center (MLC), room 712. To sign up for one of our sessions, log into ACES, select the Employee Tab, and search for SAC Instructional Innovation Center in the search box located in the upper left corner. Locate the link for the course you wish to take from the listing of sessions offered. If there are multiple sessions for the course, then click on the Register button to the right of the desired session and this will complete your registration. You will be redirected to your AlamoTalent Transcript confirming your registration.
