3D Print Studio

Service Description: he 3D Print Studio at San Antonio College provides faculty, staff, and students with access to cutting-edge additive manufacturing tools to support academic projects, instructional innovation, and hands-on learning. This service includes consultation, design support, printing services, and integration of 3D printing into course activities or institutional initiatives.  3D Print Projects are available for a nominal fee.

Service Offerings Include:

  • 3D Printing for academic, instructional and personal projects.
  • Consultation on design, file preparation.
  • Maintenance and management of 3D printing hardware and supplies.

Eligibility: Student, Staff, Faculty

Availability:
Monday - Thursday: 8:00 a.m.- 6:00 p.m., Friday - 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Excluding College Holidays.

How to access services (Procedures if Any): Visit he 3D Print Studio Website for Additional Information:

  • Visit the Student Mega Lab (MLC 502) for a consultation and estimate.
  • Note: you will not be charged if the error is a result of equipment failure (filament jam, print head clog, etc..) however you will be charged if the error was caused by a design flaw or by not enough backfill or supports. 
  • Maximum of 8 continuous hours of printing for each print allowed Monday – Thursday.
  • Maximum of 4 continuous hours of printing for each print allowed Friday only.
  • Note: For any job requiring more than 240 minutes (4 hours) of print time, please contact us for a time estimate.
    Once you approve the estimate and your project is printed, we will send you an invoice which can be paid for at Alamo Marketplace Mall.

Will vary based on the size of the print. A quote will be provided before the object is printed.

San Antonio College reserves the right to refuse any 3D printing order if, in its sole judgment, fulfillment of the order would involve violation of copyright, patent or trademark law, or if such printed material would pose an immediate threat to the health, safety or well-being of others.
