Network Shared Storage Access

Service Description:

Network shared storage is available to San Antonio College faculty, staff, and computer labs.
Share storage is secure and only accessible to designated network accounts provided by shared storage owner(s).
Network shared drives are backed up every night by a central backup system.
These storage shares allow for a centrally located file repository, as well as allow access to multiple authorized users.

Departments share storage limits will depend on the number of users within the department.
Departments generally receive an initial 15 GB, however this can be increased as needed.

24 hours a day, 7 days a week

How to access services (Procedures if Any):
Services can be requested through the online service request system "FootPrints" at http://footprints.alamo.edu.
When submitting a Footprint ticket you will need to select Category: "Infrastructure" > Sub-Category: "Active Directory" > Action: "Request" > Ticket Type: "Service Request"
>Description: Name of the Drive,
The drive letter will not assist in configuring the Network drive Access. Please add the Folder Name of the drive you requesting access for.
In this example the Drive letter is K: but what is actually needed is "Allied Health" for the Network Services team to configure access to this network share.
