Employee Printing Services

Service Description: This service provides faculty and staff at San Antonio College with access to secure, reliable printing, copying, and scanning services across campus. It supports both day-to-day administrative work and academic needs, including high-volume print jobs, secure printing, and multifunction device access.

Services Included:

  • Secure print release at multifunction printers (MFPs)

  • Black & white or color printing (based on department access)

  • Copying and scanning to email.

  • Print queue management using employee credentials (ID badge or login with Banner ID)

  • Toner and maintenance support provided by ITS or managed print services vendor

  • Departmental print codes for chargeback tracking (if applicable)

Availability:
Printer availability is dependent on business operating hours of the department where the printer resides.

How to access services (Procedures if Any):
By default, college-issued computers connected to the San Antonio College network are automatically configured to detect and display available network printers (HP and Cannon Leased Printers) within their assigned location or department.  For example:  "AlamoPrint on 10veps-p001".

To print a document from your computer, go to the “File” menu and select “Print.”  Choose the printer "AlamoPrint on 10veps-p001" to print to the designated leased printer.  Employees can go to any networked printer on campus to pick up the printed document.

User Responsibilities:

  • Ensure confidential documents are securely released at the printer

  • Use print services for official college business only

  • Report malfunctions or toner needs promptly

  • Limit color and large print jobs only for critical needs.
