Lecture Capture

Service Description: The Instructional Innovation Center provides training and support for faculty and staff in the use of lecture capture tools available in designated classrooms, such as Panopto and integrated classroom recording systems. Panopto is San Antonio College’s official lecture capture and video content management system, supporting academic instruction through secure video recording, hosting, and sharing. This service provides faculty and staff with technical assistance, training, and implementation support for using Panopto in both face-to-face and online instructional settings.

Service Offerings Include:
  • Setup and integration of Panopto with Canvas
  • Training and one-on-one coaching on recording lectures, screen captures, and presentations
  • Technical support for Panopto video uploads, sharing, and permissions
  • Captioning guidance and accessibility support
  • Troubleshooting issues related to Panopto playback, permissions, or system errors
  • Consultation on best practices for video-based instruction
  • Assistance with analytics and student engagement tracking in Panopto
  • Equipment recommendations for Panopto-compatible recording

Availability:
Training and consultation available during standard business hours to Faculty and Staff. Online materials available 24/7.
