Instructional & Classroom Technology Support

Service Description: The Instructional Innovation Center provides support for faculty and staff on the use of instructional and classroom technologies. This includes training and software support for tools such as classroom computers, lecture capture systems, and instructional software. Training for classroom hardware is provided by the Instructional Innovation Center.  Troubleshooting and technical support is provided by our Technical Support Services team.

Service Offerings Include:

  • Troubleshooting and technical support for smart classrooms, projectors, displays, control panels, and audio systems
  • Support for instructional tools such as document cameras, microphones, interactive displays, and podium PCs
  • On-site response for urgent classroom technology issues
  • Preventative maintenance and routine checks of instructional spaces
  • Training on proper use of classroom equipment and teaching technologies
  • Technology walk-throughs for new faculty or those teaching in unfamiliar classrooms
  • Assistance with connecting laptops or mobile devices to classroom systems
  • Coordination with IT and Facilities for larger-scale technology repairs or upgrades

Availability:
Support services are available to faculty and staff during standard business hours. Online resources are accessible 24/7.

How to access services (Procedures if Any): Faculty and staff may request one-on-one training by calling 210.486.0712, via email at sac-iic@alamo.edu, booking time with one of our staff on the Instructional Innovation Center Website (right click to open), or visiting in person at MLC 712.

Additional Information:

Support focuses on instructional software and classroom technology usage. Hardware troubleshooting and repairs are referred to the Technical Support Services Team. Faculty are encouraged to schedule training in advance of the semester to ensure smooth classroom integration.
