Canvas - Instructor

Service Description:
Instructure Canvas is a Learning Management System (LMS) that enables faculty to manage and deliver online courses to students. This platform was chosen for ease of use, integration and delivery of multimedia, compliance with accessibility standards, social media capabilities, and personalized notifications, as well as mobile compatibility. The Office of Technology Services Instructional Technology team provides online and face to face Canvas LMS training for faculty. Faculty can receive assistance with course settings, content management, communication tools, grade books, assignments, quizzes and much more.

Eligibility: Staff, Faculty

Availability:
24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Excluding emergency system maintenance timeframes.

How to access services (Procedures if Any):
Canvas LMS can be reached by logging onto ACES and clicking on the “Employee” Tab, or click links in the “Canvas Resources” section on the “Home Tab”.

Faculty Training & Walk In Assistance:
The San Antonio College Instructional Innovation Center (IIC), located in MLC 712, offers face-to-face workshops as well as online training for Canvas LMS. Faculty can sign up for Canvas online training through AlamoTalent.
