Backup & Recovery for Desktops
The Office of Technology Services (OTS) Technical Support unit serves the San Antonio College as one of the key resources for supporting your information technology needs. One of the issues the Technical Support unit can assist with is backup and recovery for desktops. Data backup, or the process of backing up, refers to the storing of files from your computer to another location. In the case of a data loss event, the original data can be used to restore, or recover, your computer and its original files. OTS provides all faculty and staff with a network drive as a backup option. Data stored on this drive can be retrieved and restored should your workstation fail.
