Online Teaching Certification Process

Service Description:

This program focuses on pedagogy and standards of best practice for the online learning environment while introducing tools to build, facilitate, and assess online instruction using the Canvas learning management system (LMS) as a delivery mechanism. Participants will complete a series of trainings and review to include the following: 

  1. SAC Online Teaching Course (OTC)
  2. Applying the Quality Matters Rubric Course (APPQMR)
  3. Online/Hybrid Course Peer Review

How to access services (Procedures if Any):

How to Register for the APPQMR (Applying the Quality Matters Rubric) course:

1. Access Alamo Talent to register for the APPQMR Course.  (Note:  Register for only one workshop):

    • Online APPQMR Workshop:  APPQMR Online 2021 – 18 Day Course

OR

    • Virtual Zoom APPQMR Workshop:  SAC Quality Matters APPQMR Virtual Workshop

2. Post Alamo Talent Registration, the Training Facilitator will register you on the Quality Matters system and you will receive an email with instructions to participate in the APPQMR course.
