Service Description: The William R. Sinkin Eco Centro at San Antonio College is a community center which provides education and resources to assist the public in developing more sustainable lifestyles for the purpose of conserving natural resources.

•Education and resources: Eco Centro conducts or holds approximately eight educational presentations or workshops per month on a variety of sustainability topics such as water conservation, local food production, green building, solid waste reduction, alternative transportation, renewable energy, and more. In addition, our building serves as a demonstration for sustainable practices and features. Currently, most of our events are free of charge.
•Community Outreach and Community Engagement: We use community outreach by extending ourselves beyond our physical location to help further our mission of sustainability education and advocacy. In the same way, we use community engagement both on and off site by providing hands on activities, research and volunteer opportunities, and fun, educational events. Our services can extend to almost any age, income level, or educational level.
•Meeting space rental: Our 3,000 square foot building and grounds can be rented for group events and meetings, subject to staff availability, scheduling, and size and needs of groups.

Availability:
Monday through Friday, 9:00a.m.-6:00p.m. excluding college holidays. (Summer 2017) Some Saturdays by appointment or for Eco Centro workshops

How to access services (Procedures if Any): • Meeting space rentals: Our classroom seats 36 with tables and approximately 60 with chairs only and is equipped with a/v equipment. Reservations/arrangements should be made no less than three weeks in advance. Please send company/organization name and contact info, preferred date(s), start/end time, # of attendees, and type of meeting to jcornelius19@alamo.edu. You will receive a response with further details usually within 24-48 hours.
• Guided tours available by appointment. Self-guided tours during business hours.
