Students and Employees at San Antonio College can now get on-demand technology support by communicating with an artificial intelligent chatbot, called Lexi.
Lexi Chatbot is a service, powered by rules, that a person interacts via a simple chat interface. San Antonio College has partnered with Instabot to create a conversational chatbot tool, which is now accessible through the Office of Technology Services website via text message. The chat service will be presented to the students and employees in a user-friendly format as a virtual agent (Lexi) to create an experience resembling a live person-to-person interaction. The goal for this initiative is to make support options more accessible for our students and employees while reducing the number of calls received at our College Help Desk.
Lexi, the new Chatbot service will give employees and students at San Antonio College answers to common questions and help them navigate through most common support options. Lexi, Chat Service is being implemented in a pilot mode. During the pilot program, Office of Technology Services will closely monitor the interactions to better anticipate and address common challenges.
