Document Imaging and Management

Service Description:

Alamo Colleges uses (BDMS) Application Xtender Software to convert confidential documents such as transcripts, from paper-based to electronic format.  Application Xtender is integrated into the Banner System.  Application Xtender helps store, organize, manage and retrieve these documents in an efficient manner.  Departments that use this system include:  Admissions and Records, Financial Aid, Bursar, Assessment, Counseling, Veteran Affairs, Human Resources, Finance and disABILITY Support Services.

Eligibility: Staff, Faculty

Availability:
24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Excludes emergency system maintenance timeframes.

How to access services (Procedures if Any):

To request access, the employee's supervisor should contact the Document Owner.  The Document Owner will submit a FootPrints work order to District IT.

Since Application Xtender is integrated into Banner, Users who have access to BDM can login to Banner to start using BDM.  In Banner 8, you will see the "BDM-Add Document" button represented by a green plus-sign _; the "BDM-Display Document" or view button is represented by a magnifying glass icon _.

With Banner 9, these are the new buttons to login into BDM, _.
