Campus Event Technical Support

Service Description:

The Office of Technology Services (OTS) Audio/Visual (A/V) team provides professional event technology support including PA systems, audio/video recording services, and video conferencing. The OTS A/V team offers technical support services for events that take place on the San Antonio College Campus. OTS technical staff is available to setup and troubleshoot audio and visual equipment if need be.

Eligibility: Staff, Faculty

Availability:
Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., excluding college holidays and closures.

How to access services (Procedures if Any):
Alamo Colleges' faculty and staff are the only authorized clients to reserve media equipment from San Antonio College. Request for event support and/or equipment must be made one week in advance of the event. Equipment request for events must be made by contacting the SAC Helpdesk at 210-486-0777 or by submitting a service ticket through Footprints located at https://footprints.alamo.edu. When submitting a ticket, please select "Conference and Presentation" in the Service field, "Events" in the Component field, and "Event Support" or "Event Setup" in the detail field. Under the Description tab, in the text box, please provide the following information:
  • Setup Time
  • Start Time
  • Tear down time
  • Description of the setup such as; two speakers and PowerPoint presentation
  • Special needs e.g., specific software needed
  • Provide map layout of the event

Additional Information:
Client will be liable in the event of theft, loss, or damage of any equipment. Client should immediately report any damage or malfunction during use of the equipment. Users with limited experience using media equipment should schedule a training session on the operation of equipment prior to the event.
