Printing Support and Supplies

Service Description:
San Antonio College utilizes the Xerox System for staff and faculty printing. Xerox printers are labeled with a Xerox Helpdesk phone number which can be called if supplies are needed or if the printer is having technical issues. The Banner ID or Employee ID Card used to login to the printers tracks the count of copies a person prints; this data is automatically captured and the VP of College Services is able to obtain usage reports.  Toner and staples are part of the Xerox contract; therefore departments can request those supplies by calling the Xerox Helpdesk.  Paper is not part of the contract, however clients can submit a FootPrints ticket when paper is needed.  Each printer has a person designated as the primary contact for the printer; that person is responsible for requesting paper and supplies for the printer.

Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., excluding college holidays and closures.

How to access services (Procedures if Any):
Faculty and Staff can obtain printing support and supplies by asking their department Administrative Assistant since they are typically the primary contacts for the printers.  Also, the Xerox Helpdesk can be called to request supplies or Technical Support for printer malfunctions.  If an issue needs to be escalated after calling the Xerox Helpdesk, the Requestor can submit a ticket for the SAC Techs to assist (http://footprints.alamo.edu).  When submitting a ticket, you will need to select “Printing Services” in the Service field, “Xerox” in the Component field and “Order Supplies” in the Detail field.  A Footprints request will need to be submitted to order paper.  Paper will be directly shipped to the location specified by the primary contact.
